How can I add conditional comments to thematic head?

  • I’m making a childtheme to Thematic and I want to add the following conditional comments to my head section:
    <!--[if lt IE 7]> <html class="ie ie6 lte9 lte8 lte7"> <![endif]-->
    <!--[if IE 7]> <html class="ie ie7 lte9 lte8 lte7"> <![endif]-->
    <!--[if IE 8]> <html class="ie ie8 lte9 lte8"> <![endif]-->
    <!--[if IE 9]> <html class="ie ie9 lte9"> <![endif]-->
    <!--[if gt IE 9]> <html> <![endif]-->
    <!--[if !IE]><!--> <html> <!--<![endif]-->

    This way I can solve my IE bugs in my style.css file.
    How do I put this into my php and where?
    I’m a novice to php.
