Custom Menu – Limits on items in WP 3.2.1 etc.

Hi all,

Can someone explain the reason and solution for having a limit of 33 items on your custom menus. This question has apparently been asked twice before with no solution offered before the topic closed:

I have a theme called “Geo Places” by templatic installed where I first encountered this problem but this custom menu limit is being caused on even the WP stock themes. All of the comments on those two strings came up with no final solution. Need help.
