[Plugin: Contact Form 7 reCAPTCHA Extension] No reCaptcha is displayed

    Since the update before the last update of the CF7 reCaptcha Extension (or the CF7 itself) the reCaptcha dialog does not show up in my contact form anymore. It worked before!

    Also, experimenting with the Better reCaptcha plugin instead of the reCaptcha plugin did not change the situation.

    At the moment, the only Captcha I’m able to include in my contact form is the old Really Simple Captcha, which works like a charm.

    I’m not quite sure, whether the problem is caused by the CF7 plugin itself, the CF7 reCaptcha extension plugin, the reCaptcha plugin or the Better reCaptcha plugin. The fact that switching between the reCaptcha plugin and the Better reCaptcha plugin does not change anything leeds to my suspicion that the CF7 plugin or the CF7 reCaptcha extension plugin must be causing this (or a possible incompatibility to another 3rd party plugin).

    Does anybody have an idea, how to get one of the reCaptchas, that are more sophisticated than the Really Simple Captcha, show up again?

    Hi Dennis,

    it is sad for me to hear that it won’t work for you. I’ve tested it on 2 test instances and an 3 productive instances and had no problems so far.

    Can you set up a testpage on your instance so I can have a look what could be the problem?

    Hi Andre!

    Thanks for your reply. But I have to correct myself.

    As I was testing the Better reCaptcha again, I noticed a setting to hide the reCaptcha from users that are logged on (and even under some other circumstances).

    Because I always was logged on when testing, I didn’t realize that the reCaptcha was probably shown all the time. So no problem exists ??

    Hi Dennis,

    you don’t have bothered me at all. That shows me that the new function that respects the settings of the plugins according the logged in users works as expected on other instances too. I only had my instances to test it.

    Such feedback is essential for me…

    the Recaptcha does not show up if there is a youtube film embedded into the post. what can i do?
