How do I uninstall my WordPress blog?

  • I’m brand new and i used filezilla to install my theme. Then i went to “upgrade” to the 3.3 and I accedntally transferred my files into the wrong folder and now I have a

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home/mgrigsby/public_html/index.php on line 1

    I don’t know anything and am a novice. How do i just unistally everything and start over?

  • If this is fresh install no data or uploads then you can delete all wordpress files and folders except wp-config.php file and upload them again and add wp-config.php in root.

    Thanks govpatel – I was too impatient and I deleted…everything. I had no data on it. Then of course, I freaked. I called Hostgator and they fixed it in 2 minutes. All is well and I’ve learned my lesson. I will make a note of what you said though, just in case. Have a happy new year!
