Tag and Category Should be No Index for SEO?

    I am confused Tag and Category Should be No Index for SEO?

    I do get traffic for Tag and Category pages at the same time they have duplicate Content (Post Excerpt).

    Should i make tag and category NoIndex?

    What advantage will i have?

    Someone please?

  • There are various opinions and views on this matter, so it will have to be something you decide for your site. The idea of using noindex on archive pages is so the individual posts rank higher. There is a blog post here that explains some of that. Basically you are giving some of your ranking to the archive pages instead of giving it all to the individual posts.
