[Plugin: Joomla/Mambo To WordPress Migrator] either won't accept user or table data incomplete

I’ve installed a fresh copy of WP on my local machine, so server is localhost. (I’m using XAMP)

Since my joomla site is online, I did a sql dump to my local database (the xampp db) and recreated it.

This way I have the empty wp and the joomla contents both at localhost.

However when I try to migrate, I get one of the following errors:

1. access is denied
2. table data incomplete

I’ve tried multiple configurations but so far no luck.

Any advice?
