Email Subscription Button Broken?

Do you have a preview of what the email subscription button is supposed to look like? Looking at your site it looks like everything is fine unless there should be something in the blank gray area in the top widget.

Hey Jarret! It’s supposed to have a box that allows people to sign up. I can see where it says “email subscription…” so I know people can enter their email. However, it then gives an error message that states this:

The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled

What have I not done right in setting it all up over here?

Go to https://feedburner.google.com and log in if you aren’t already. Then click the Publicize tab and is Email Subscriptions checked on the left hand side?

If not, you’ll have to enable it and most likely have to copy/paste the code they provide into your widget again.

Thank you! I think I finally have it all set up now. What about all those people that subscribed already? Surely I didn’t lose them?

You would have to look in FeedBurner to see if it still shows the same subscription numbers that you had before.

I didn’t use Feedburner before, I used whatever WordPress.com offered? And my Facebook button keeps disappearing. Do you have any ideas about that? It will only work part of the time, and only if it’s the first thing on my right panel. ?

I see you have a Facebook like button in your sidebar right now, is this the one that keeps disappearing?

I browsed around a bit on your site and it always showed up for me, how often does it disappear for you?

Thanks Jarret. It’s now working again EXCEPT that it shows my Insights and Admin buttons. I have NO Idea why this is happening. I used the regular code. It didn’t do this before on WordPress.com? I used the same code there?

Sorry for not responding sooner, I just checked your site and didn’t see any buttons that you mentioned….are you still having this issue?
