• Hello,

Thanks for your awesome plugin. I just have one simple problem, can you please tell me a theme that is compatible for this. When I look at the torrent description (the actual description) it jumbles itself all over the page, no matter what theme I have tried, and I have tried many, it still jumbles itself in various places. I have included a screen shot as an example. I have looked over the css and cannot seem to find a way to fix this. I am not biased on my themes, I will use any, so please list at least one theme that this is tried and tested and working 100% on please. Thank you.

could you please tell which browser you are using? i do try to look in most browsers to see how things look because each browser treats the code differently. any theme should be fine but i like to use this one for my developing site https://aquoid.com/news/themes/suffusion/ because of the options it has. i do know one thing that will have problems in dark themes is the WordPress editor for the torrent upload if you use that option. in the next release i will have an update for the torrent display which i hope will solve your problem but if it doesn’t then let me know and i will look for a solution. the solution i will released i have checked in IE8, Firefox and Opera. I wish I could check everything in every browser out there but not is not a possible for me.

Thanks for the response, I’m using FF and IE8 for all my testing, I have tried the twenty ten, and twenty eleven themes, as well as numerous other random themes, I tried some with headers, and some without, to no resolve, I will try the theme you recommended and comment back shortly with whether it worked or not, thanks again for the response.

Works like a charm, completely fixed my issue. I really enjoy this plugin, I am very active in the torrenting world and this is so much easier than creating my own tracker site from scratch or going with something like gazelle, when I really want a wordpress site, with a tracker on the back end. Cheers for the good work. I look forward to future updates for this plugin.

I now have a new issue, my tracker is sending invalid data <null>, I have set my permalinks to month – name from a clean wordpress install the latest version, plus the latest version of your plugin, plus using the suffusion theme as you recommended. Everything was working before I changed the theme. Now it’s null. I have not changed any settings for the plug in, everything is a clean install. Any advice?

Weird, when I switch back to the twenty eleven theme it works fine. But as soon as I switch to the suffusion theme it goes null on me again. I have not played with any settings what-so-ever. This is very strange. I hope you can provide a solution for me. I look forward to hearing back from you.

chances are your getting the tracker is sending null data because of one of the fall backs of the plugin at the moment. the fallback is that every time you add a new theme you need to move the announce.php and scrape.php into your theme folder. this is done on install so people normally do not see the problem. normally in the wp-trader admin part there is a check for it which lets you know if the file is not there, but i guess that check has a bug since i sorted another bug. future plans are to get the announce and scrape into the actual plugin folder where it should be but because of headers already sent error it is moved to the theme folder. the announce and scrape can be found in the /wp-content/plugins/wp-trader/templates folder all you would have to do is move them to the root folder of your theme which can be found in /wp-content/themes

Thanks again for the quick reply. I will give your fix a shot, if nothing else I can simply do a fresh install to solve the issue. I like the theme you suggested and I have only created a basic text torrent for testing purposes so I have not lost anything if I have to do a completely fresh install. I hope you guys keep at this, your on to something brilliant here, and this is really going to help if the SOPA laws pass, etc. Thanks again.

i have released an update tonight sorting the problem with the error not showing up in the admin panel if your announce and scrape is not in the current theme directory. let me know if you have any more problems so i can get them fixed.

Okay, I will check in the A.M., and let you know if I have any issues, thanks, your doing great things here.

I checked it out, everything seems to be in working order, is there any way to flush torrents at the moment. I deleted the posts, but they are still showing on the Torrent Download page.

at the moment when you delete the post it only deletes things related to the post and does not delete the torrents. i will look into sorting that. i plan on phasing out the torrent table in the databank and use only only the post to show the torrent browse page. a few other things i will get rid of also and make it work more with wordpress.
