[Plugin: Disqus Comment System] Javascript erros in Disqus

As said in a couple of the errors: jQuery isn’t defined.

In header.php try the following:
<script type="text/javascript" src"https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js"></script>

Thanks for the advice, but that has already been attempted and my theme has several jquery functions which are placed in the script before the disqus javascript code appears and all are funcitoning properly (hence removing any possibilty that the jquery is corrupt).

Even with the 2011 theme actovated, the erros are still present.

Also on another note, jquery is already declaired on the admin panel in WordPress, therefore it does not need to be re-delcared for the admin panel, and I’m also no doing any custom admin skins in the theme.

To futher add to this, I have tested the plugin on Google Chrome, it appears to be working correctly on that browser, however the error is still appearing Firefox 9 on Windows 7.

Can you help shine any light on this problem?

Hi everybody,

We merged some pull requests earlier today, one of which didn’t have parentheses where it should have so we put those in right before publishing the plugin. Those were on line 308 of disqus.php and were most likely the culprit for this error. It looks like this error affected less than a handful of people.

If you were using the trunk version of the plugin (you’d know if you were) you’ll want to reinstall the plugin as you may not have truly updated to the latest version.

If you weren’t using the trunk version of the plugin, somehow you were able to download the penultimate version of the plugin right before we published the final version. Reinstalling the plugin should solve the issue for you as well.

Thanks for the advice Tyler, checked the file and appears to be correct with the syntax.

As per the email I’ve sent to you, the plugin appears to be working now, I have no idea what the caused the problem nor what fix it but I will keep an eye out incase it crops up again.

Advice for anyone having this problem: Try restarting your computer! (don’t know why but might help)
