Cannot upload images to my website – please help!

Hi there

I recently had my company website bulit from wordpress, so I am a complete novice when it comes to the problems associated with it.

When I upload any image I get the following message:

“blank template.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/mydomainname/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads.

The store uploads folder is set as “wp-content/uploads”. I have looked at numerous forums but dont seem to understand anything.

Could anyone assist?
