• Resolved Interfluence

    (@interfluence)

Posts created after January 1, 2012 are viewable by regular visitors using all common browsers, but posts return a 404 to any validation service like The W3C validator, Google Webmaster Tools, and Facebook Lint.

Changing the post’s date to a 2011 date fixes the problem, changing it back to 2012 re-creates the problem.

Header source code appears identical in both 2011 and 2012 posts.

Have tried de-activating plugins, updating to latest WordPress, have used the database repair tool, confirmed proper permissions on directories — just about anything we could think of.

Hosting company has not come up with a solution…

We are perplexed. Any help appreciated.

    DOH!

Turned out there was a directory called “2012” under the domain’s home directory, which caused the conflict with the WordPress Year/Month/Postname URL.

    Did I say “DOH” yet?
