• Hi,

    I am using wordpress for a website for a friend who is a Karate Instructor, I have set it all up and it has been fine but I seem to have a comment tag at the bottom of every page one of these = –>

    I am using Twenty Eleven theme.

    So I did a quick check on W3C Validator and it came back as this – Line 96, Column 15: Consecutive hyphens did not terminate a comment. — is not permitted inside a comment, but e.g. – – is.
    </header><!– .entry-header –>
    ?
    Line 96, Column 15: The document is not mappable to XML 1.0 due to two consecutive hyphens in a comment.
    </header><!– .entry-header –>
    ?
    Line 123, Column 10: Stray end tag article.
    </article><!– #post-2 –>
    ?
    Line 145, Column 9: End tag div seen, but there were open elements.
    </div>
    ?
    Line 139, Column 42: Unclosed element footer.
    <footer id=”colophon” role=”contentinfo”>
    ?
    Line 146, Column 10: Stray end tag footer.
    </footer><!– #colophon –>
    ?
    Line 147, Column 6: Stray end tag div.
    </div><!– #page –>

    I am not that technically and am not sure where these are and how I can fix them. The only reason I found out was I was trying to open my site round my dads on his linux system using Iceweasel and it wouldn’t open the page.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
    Matt
