Well, I don’t see how NextGEN can allow me to specify the image in the slideshow with a shortcode. The images must be located in its specific gallery file. Where did your message go, btw?

You can insert gellery to any page using shortcode like this
[ nggallery id=x ]
And you can set default view to be gallery or slider.
I don’t know what are you using it for, but i think this is closest thing i can think of right now.

Thanks, but it’s still not what I need. Guess I’d have to show it the ugly way.

Found it, Easy Nivo. Although not exactly what I’m expecting (somewhat inflexible in choosing what image to display), but it’ll suffice.
