• I’m trying to list albums within a single higher album:

    -Page
    -2010 (album)
    -January (sub-album)
    -Gallery 1
    -Gallery 2
    -Gallery 3

But instead of “-Page” listing a single photo representing “2010”, it says instead:

    -Page
    -January 2010
    -February 2010
    -March 2010

It seems to be listing the contents of “2010”, rather than a single photo linking to the specific months within 2010.

The only content on the page is (album id=1 in this case):

    [album id=1 template=compact]

I’m probably just a moron, but a little help would be appreciated, thanks!

Already figured it out. It seems that in NextGEN, one must create a single, top-level album in which to place your albums. only then can you place sub-albums within them in order to get them to show as single icons.

In other words, you need a “grandparent” album in order to get “grandchild” sub-albums to display correctly:

    -Page
    -Photos (grandparent)
    -2010 (parent)
-January, February, March, etc now display properly.

I think it is strange that the plugin operates this way. It seems to me like wanting to listen to Pearl Jam’s “Ten” on your mp3 player, so you select “Pearl Jam” and it just starts showing all of your PJ songs instead of listing albums first.

    Thanks!
