• I had cart66 lite running on my development site and was able to hide the extra menu items that are added by default, however, I updated to the newest version of the plugin and the extra menu items are back and I can’t hide them. I looked over my old documentation and followed the same instructions with no success.

I’m using the latest version of the plugin and WP. Please help.

Now I’ve done it, I noticed a second copy of the pages above (IPN, Checkout etc) so I deleted them and left the new version. That of course broke my cart. I deleted the plugin and reinstalled it but all the products I added are still registering (with broken links) and the pages I had deleted were not reinstalled.

How do I do a complete reinstall of the plugin??

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

BTW, I have followed the instructions to delete a plugin several times and I still can’t get the plugin to reinstall properly.

Desperately seeking a solution for cart66 or recommendations for a new ecomm plugin.

Same issue. I uninstalled from my cpanel and then deleted from my plugin page. Then I saw the disclaimer that says if you delete the plugin from the plugin page you will lose the database and even a reinstall won’t work. Is there a work around to get cart66 working again or am I out of luck forever?

I suspect the reason they aren’t being hidden is because they aren’t in the locations or don’t have the paths that Cart66 expects.

Make sure you delete the Cart66 store pages that are in your trash. When Cart66 tries to install the store pages if there are pages in the trash that have the same slugs (paths) as the pages Cart66 is trying to create then the pages don’t get installed properly. So the thing to do is:

    1) Delete the Cart66 pages and make sure they are deleted from the trash as well
    2) Deactivate/Activate Cart66 which will reinstall the pages
