default admin panel — why such limited info for users

why does the admin user panel show such limited user information? even though the information is in the database it does not include much of the important user info. e.g., login, nicename, email, url, USER_REGISTERED (emphasis added), etc.

if the reason is that the developers did not want to clutter up the panel then you could give the administrator the ability to “uncheck” them with the screen options. this is done nicely with the posts.

i’ve spent a good deal of time trying to see the best way to do this, but with limited success.

i realize there are plugins that may accomplish some of this. but when this information is a significant part of the db i don’t see why it would not show by default. its sort of not showing post tags or categories in the admin post section.

any recommendations?
