What are your purge settings on the page cache settings tab?

Yes, it seems a new feature is needed so that a post’s category page is also purged when a post is added or edited in that category.

Also, it’d be nice if you could also manually list multiple pages that you specifically want purged when anything is updated. This way if you’re using a page with a blog template it’ll get purged whereas now it won’t unless it’s your home page.

Just saw another thread indicating to make sure that “Post terms” option is checked in the Purge section to get the Category pages to update. So that’s fixed, but my second thought stands for purging other individual pages that are not necessarily a default page.

Post terms pages or Post terms feeds ?

Post terms pages purges the category pages. Post terms feeds I would think is the category rss feeds.

Following up on my thought about purging pages other than the home page that may have posts on it. It doens’t seem that the Posts page is purged even if it’s set under Settings -> Reading where WordPress is set to static page with the Posts page set. Seems that it would be a good idea to at least purge the Home and Posts pages as designated here. It still would be a good idea to select your own pages to purge because often you may have posts show on multiple pages.

Alternatively at a minium maybe add a Quick Cache like feature that purges everything so there’s an all or nothing option if troubles are had with the individual options.
