[Plugin: GD Star Rating] Casting Multiple Votes using Internet Explorer

I’m using the latest wordpress and the latest version of this plugin.
I am using the plugin to vote on pictures. The 2 pictures with the highest # of votes win. I am using just one star under each picture. You click it to cast your vote for that image. Pretty simple.
I’ve noticed that when you click the star to cast your vote, you can’t vote again for that image until you refresh or go out and back in. This is the way it is for any browser, which is fine.
In Internet Explorer 8 and 9 however, when I cast my vote, it registers it as normal but when I refresh the page then click the star again, it never registers my vote (can’t see that vote in the widget or in the backend). If I vote and then go to the home page or another part of the site and then back to the same image and vote again, it STILL never registers my vote. I have to close out of my browser and go back into the site and vote again- then it works.
There are no issues like this in firefox. Some javascript issue? I’ve tried different computers and get the same results.
The only other plugins I’m using are 61 Designs Drawer, Active Directory Integration, AJAX Login Widget++, and Fancybox.
Please help.
