Category Links Not Working

  • Hello I have setup a simple wrodpress site and I have began to design it I added the categories to the Right Side Bar two issues I’m having are..

    but first I will say I’m using Easel theme

    1) the categories are not all showing up unless they have posts –> I want it to show all cat’s regardless of posts. I have tried editing the header.php as on tutorial showed but I don’t have the required lines in the code that they refer to…any ideas how to change this with this theme?

    2) the links that the categories show don’t work when you click the category it brings up blank page?
