Has this site been hacked?

one of my clients has a word press website and when looking at the cashed version of one of his pages, i noticed a huge stack of spammy links just above the footer.

They only seem to show on the cached version of the page, but could explain why his website is seemingly bungee jumping in and out of the rankings.

the date of the cached page is 24th Jan 2012 and I cant see these links on pages cached before Jan 2012. I also have no idea where in the code this could have been planted.

anybody got any ideas? Can anybody see what i’m describing on that website?
