• This seems like a great plugin but it has not been updated in awhile. I understand the repository is going to de-emphasize such outdated plugins in the near future.

I’m curious, does the plugin author intend to continue updating this plugin? Are there users who are up for taking on the changes necessary to bring it the plugin up to 3.4+ compatibility? Working through the compatibility polls, there appears to be significant portion of users who are having issues with the plugin on various versions of 3.x

I ask this question with all due respect to the plugin author. Thanks for all of the hard work that has gone into creating and supporting this plugin to date.

Right now it will work with 3.3, I have not tested 3.4 since it is only in Alpha, I will make sure the plugin works as I am using it on my own site.

The only thing that is outstanding is making it work with custom post type which is slightly more complicated.

Thanks for the reply, Lester. What changes need to be made so that this plugin is listed as compatible up to 3.3 ? It is still stuck on 2.9.2

I just have to bump it up. Easy! let me do it now

    Hi Lester,
Does wp-email send the blog text and photo. I’ve been using an ecard plugin from codecanyon. But, I want the user to ender their name as the sender.
Also, I want the username and other data to show in the sender and below the post.
    Are both possible with wp-email.
    Chjeers,

Nope just the text. You can customize the template of the email that is being send out and that is a yes to your second question
