• Hey guys. I removed a piece of coding from my Mantra-admin-Functions and now my WordPress homepage for my site is displaying only this message so I can’t put it back:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/hiwezcom/public_html/cms/wp-content/themes/mantra/admin/mantra-admin-functions.php on line 87

Does anyone know how to fix this? Cus I’m really not savvi with code!

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Re-upload a fresh copy of the theme to wp-content/themes using FTP.

this is going to sound like an awful question and I’m really sorry but how do I do that?

You will need to learn how to use FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. If in doubt, ask your hosts for advice or consult their hosting documentation.

Submitted a ticket but fixed it before they responded, I went through my File Management on my Host Site and deleted the theme, then my website reverted back to it’s original theme and I reinstalled Mantra and all my presets had stayed the same. Awesome.

Wouldn’t have had the balls to do it without your direction Esmi, thanks so much

Hey – you fixed it yourself. Just glad I could help a little. ??

Hi I have the same problem, the error message is

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /homepages/41/d386780102/htdocs/app386780115/wp-content/themes/mansion/includes/theme-js.php on line 94

and i cannot go back to change it nor log into my dahsboard. it happened after i accidentally edited my theme.

i am using 1and1 webhosting and have used ftp before to upload this current theme. i did a lot of CSS customization so im scared to delete the theme and upload it again. i have recently backed up my website using the ezpz plugin and the folder is on my dropbox and also on my hardrive. i wonder if i can restore my website using the backup even though i cannot log in? is there a way to do that?

if not, and i have to use ftp to upload the new theme, can someone please guide me step by step as i am quite worried of making another mistake at this point. thanks SO MUCH!
