Skype social media button when click goes to a blank page

I have the social media buttons on my website. However when i click onto the skype button it goes to a blank page outside my website. I have checked my skype url and it is correct which has been added into the widgets plugin. I also click on the email button and it goes to a blank page on my website. ANy help would be appreciated.
