Help please! Tried installing free theme and now site is corrupted

  • I tried installing a free theme that I found yesterday, and now I can’t access my www.ads-software.com blog at all. I get this when I try to view it, and the same message when I try to go to a login page.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/affor11/public_html/conservative-quote-of-the-day.com/wp-content/themes/study_of_american_patriotism_eve089/functions.php on line 1479

    I have no access to remove the theme, and no access to any part of my blog – back end or to view it.

    Can anybody help me? I see that there is no contact form for wordpress and I’m at a loss as to how to fix this!

    Wrong Advice to reinstall

    Using ftp rename or delete this folder study_of_american_patriotism_eve089
    in themes folder so that default theme opens.

    Govpatel is right, go via FTP and delete the new theme files.

    NO. Don’t do that. That’s extreme and not necessary.

    Get your host to delete the file wp-content/themes/study_of_american_patriotism_eve089/functions.php. If you have FTP access to your web server then you can do that yourself.

    Once that’s done, you should be able to administer your blog. Visit https://https://conservative-quote-of-the-day.com/wp-admin/themes.php and select the Twenty Ten theme.
