[Plugin: WPBook Lite] Caught exception in publish to page (#200)

jikatal – does the debug file end where you stopped, or does it contain more – it was just getting to the interesting stuff.

What is the ID of the page you are trying to publish to?

I am having exactly the same error message. I am posting to group as well as page but only thee group works – wp post works fine too.

I cannot get it to post on FB page.

craig (and jikatal) – do both of your debug files end right at “image is”?

Makes me think there must be some kind of issue I’m missing here.

What are your settings in terms of posting as link versus as post?

craig – are you also getting the same “Caught exception in publish to page (#200) This API call requires a valid app_id. Error code: 0”

This would suggest there’s some kind of permissions problem, since the app_id works for posting to groups or profiles.

What does your WPBook Lite settings page say about page tokens – does it say a page token corresponding to the page you are publishing has been stored?

Also, what is the ID of the page you are trying to publish to?

I’d like to check it in the Facebook Graph API and see if it is correct.

yes, file ends right on “image is”

Both Profile and Page/Group Post Type Options are as posts.

In terms of the token, it was successfully stored and detailed within the WPbook lite settings page – however, I have logged in this morning and now se the following error:

“Your Facebook Access Token for WPBook Lite has expired. Please visit the settings page for WPBook Lite and grant a new access token. Until you do so, cross-posting to Facebook and import of comments will fail.”

If it is of any help, the facebook apps advanced settings had “Remove offline_access permission:” set to disabled.

The page ID i am trying to post to is 460172777333904 (fishing page).

I would guess, from what is returned above that the ID you are looking for is 155716824446169 (see https://graph.facebook.com/155716824446169 ) – unfortunately FB Graph API doesn’t directly return the “type” of the thing being examined.

What is the url inside Facebook of the page you’re trying to post to?

deadelvis – similarly, I don’t think that 225078634190642 is actually a page. What’s the URL in Facebook of the thing you are trying to post to?

i am trying to post to https://www.facebook.com/hintleshamfisheries which from your link above, seems like you have the right page ID. I used 155716824446169 as an ID for the page, regenerated the token and then posted again in WP. All i got was a blank white screen. So i returned to wp and received the error

Hi all, my issue is all resolved. I was using the wrong PageID. Plus the blank white page issue i resolved by going into the app settings and making “Remove offline_access permission:” set to enabled. Enabled is default but some other advice elsewhere told me to change it too disabled which isnt right.

@deadelvis my guess is you have the same problem csimpson was.

Remove Offline_access should be set to enabled in FB app settings, and you must use the right Page ID in your WPBook Lite settings.
