Hi, does anyone else have this problem?

I have downloaded and installed WP Touch and it works fine on mobile phone handsets accessing my website.

However, When accessing my website through Firefox, Chrome or Opera it serves the normal desktop version, but when accessing it through internet explorer, it serves the mobile version of the site through WP Touch.

Has anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it? Not sure why Internet Explorer would display my website in the mobile format while chrome, firefox etc display the normal desktop version?

Yes to me about IE8. I fixed it using the custom user agent WPtouch options. Check the box to use custom user agent. Remove anything that has iexxxx with that you fix your problem. In my case it fixed. Hope this useful. Greetings. Sorry for my English I am Spanish.

Excellent English, wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t have said so. Solved the problem as well, so many thanks for your help.

I’ve been having this issue using the latest Firefox (10.0.2) (no idea about IE – never use the thing).

Unfortunately, I don’t really understand the instructions provided by “runmusic” – I don’t see any box to check to use custom user agents – that seems to be an automatic thing? I’ve just opted to disable the plugin.

OK – seems the issue is wptouch conflicting with my cache plugin. I had to add the list of user agents WPtouch uses (found in the WPtouch settings) to the Rejected User Agents area of my cache plugin.

    Hopefully that will sort things.

For anyone else that is having a similar issue and is using a cache plugin. Please make sure you are entering WPtouch’s mobile user agent list (you can find it in the WPtouch admin panel) into the “rejected user agents area” of the cache plugin.
