Adding thumbnail Image to Blog headline on static page

Hi

Thanks for that – however I’m not strong on php and associations – so i’m a bit lost.

Do I need to alter functions.php or do I have all of the necessary “ingredients” to add the post thumbnail into my template?

i.e is there a single line of php code that I can add to associate the image with the post title & excert?

you already have the code so far – if I remember right, you could add <?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?> before the line with ‘the_excerpt()’
