    This issue started yesterday after no problems last week. Subscribers are not gettting post notifications. First, yes, Go Daddy hosts my web page. Yes, I read posts on issues. But, as I said everything wirked fine all last week. And my subscribers are way under the 250 a day limit.

    I can not even receive a single test message. I tried 2 ways with the Subscribe 2 plug-in:

    SEND EMAIL->PREVIEW or SEND: Message failed! Check your settings and check with hosting provider
    SETTINGS-> SEND PREVIEW EMAIL: Preview Message sent to logged in user.

    NOTE: First case, get error message even when selecting PREVIEW. Second case message never received. And I am able to manually sent/receive from my GoDaddy web mail account.

    Ideas.

  • @burger23,

    Your email sending activities over the last week or so have obviously flagged somehow to GoDaddy and they’ve restricted you by the sounds of it.

    Your GoDaddy web mail account is irrelevant as your web space generated emails don’t go via an email server, they are sent via the mail() PHP function on the web server.

    You need to try all of the things recommended for GoDaddy hosting users to see if you can restore some email functionality, if not then you will need to consider moving away from GoDaddy or channelling your emails through a paid email marketing service (it seems that GoDaddy are offering such a service too).

    Thanks so much for your prompt reply, Matt. I did call GoDaddy and had them check my SMTP limit status. While they could not give me any historical data, they did say that my account was reset last night, and that today’s status is zero emails sent.

    I tried the WP MAIL SMTP plug-in- but,honestly, I can not get it to work. I am not sure what to put in for the SMTP field. Tried smtp.godaddy.com. I am very new this this!

    My GoDaddy hosting expires mid-March. I plan to deinitely move it- but in the meantime, I need to get post notification out.

    Shouln’t I be able to see the PREVIEW without getting the error message listed in first post. Could I have messed up a WordPress, or Sunscribe 2, setting somewhere yesterday?

    @burger23,

    I think the relay server is:
    relay-hosting.secureserver.net

    OK- that address works with the WP MAIL SMTP plug-in. I am able to successfully send a test email from this plugin. But, the same issue as described in previous post remains with the Subscribe2 plug-in- I can not send, or even preview, a Subscribe2 test email.

    I am thinking of uninstalling, then re-installing Subscribe2. If I recall the subscriber list will not be deleted. But I can not remember what happens to the changes that I made in Settings->Email Templates.

    Thanks so much

    UPDATE: I just posted successfully.
    So all appears to be well now with the WP MAIL SMTP plug-in set to relay-hosting.secureseerver.net.

    And I am able to send a test email in Subscribe2: SETTINGS-> SEND PREVIEW EMAIL. But the SEND EMAIL->PREVIEW or SEND continiues to issue an error message:”Message failed! Check your settings and check with hosting provider”

    I guess that I am good to go- time will time.

    Thanks so much for your prompt, and courteous, responses.

    I have the same problem of Burger23 .
    I used Subscribe2 for few months ,but suddenly from three days ago all email previews stopped and I didn’t get them . I installed WP-Mail-SMTP , and get the test mail from that but still have problem with Subscribe2 .
    Is there any recommendation ?

    @dsahra,

    You’ve already posted at the end of another thread about this problem and I directed you to a lengthy discussion of the current problems with GoDaddy hosting.
