    Latest post from several categories, in date order, with only one post per category.

    If you have category A, B, C, D and the posts are in date order so that the column looks like

    A, B, C, D

    Then if there is a new post by C, it takes out the old C post and puts the new C post at the top of the column

    C, A, B, D

    I seem to be able to get latest per category but cannot limit it to only one per category
