    Hi,

I installed the version 0.1 version of “flickr to WP” plugin with WP 3.3.1.
I tried to activate it in the plugin admin page (entered a valid Flickr IP key and secret, as well as the callback URL), but got a:
Oops! Flickr can’t find a valid callback URL.

Don’t know how to solve it for the moment, if anybody knows how to do, let me know.

    Many thanks,
    Laurent

Did you add a callback URL when you setup the app at Flickr? It should look like this: https://twitpic.com/8pwxuo

yes, I did add the callback URL as you mentioned in the documentation:
    https://visagesetpaysages.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=flickr-to-wp

I actually understood why I’m getting this error:
when I try the callback URL with my browser myself, I land on the authentication page of my WordPress, this is why I get this “Oops” message from Flickr.

I just need to figure out how to disable temporarily the authentication on my WordPress…

No, tried again, now I can access the callback URL from my browser without having to login, but when I click on “Authenticate with Flickr”, I still get it…

I’ve no idea what’s happening. I’m going to dig more…

    Thanks

I also did succesfully use the same Flickr API key in another plugin for WP: Photonic, and it can fetch the images/titles/…

Hi, I have the same problem with authetification but we receive a blank page… do you have any idea?.

The authentification works fine for flickr with other plugins but we need to import images with exif data for SEO.

    Hi,

I haven’t tried again, I switched to other tasks. I’m waiting for an answer from Brad, or when I’ve time, I’ll go through the Flickr API documentation and the plugin code to find out what’s happening.

I don’t have time right now, so I just used the direct links to my Flickr images:
When on a Flickr image: menu Actions > View all sizes, Then I took the link “Download the Large size of this photo”.

It works for me, and this is the only workaround I found for now, given the time I have to set my website up.

I’ll let you know when I’ll get a chance to dive into Flickr to WP plugin code.

    Best,
    Laurent

Just noting I used this plugin today and after initial copying spaces with my keys, it worked just fine. ??

    Very happy. Thanks!
