wp_editor displays html

    I’m using wp_editor() to add the visual editor to the textarea of a plugin. Adding content is fine, but when i go to edit an entry the HTML content is displayed in the visual editor. That means I have to copy and paste the content from Visual to HTML panes to prevent the markup from getting turned into special characters. Specifically <> characters.
    Anyone familiar with this problem?
