How to use custom Excerpts?

    Hello.

    My posts in wordpress start with a bullet point list of information, which shows up in the post excerpt in the archives page.

    How can I use a custmom excerpt, like a mini description that isn’t contained in the actual post itself, or a paragraph from the middle of the post?
