I have WP e-Commerce installed on this site https://glass.whoisjordanharris.com I am working on for a fella and I seem to have an issue where when you click “purchase” at checkout it simply loops right on back to the Checkout page. It used to work then I added the field for them to add a description of what the customers would want and BAM! it stopped working. Tried rolling back the changes and it didn’t fix it.

1.)I tried changing the permalinks and updated by clicking twice like other folks have had success with but that didn’t work for me.

2.)Issue persists no matter what shipping setting I have it set to (I want shipping turned off if possible).

    3.)Force SSL is turned off.

    Any other ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Tried changing the IPN to off but that didn’t help either. I am at a total loss for what else it could be. I even duplicated the settings on another working one I made… Anyone else have a suggestion?

so , After working without issue for the last 3 months, suddenly one of the two instances i have of wp Ecommerce has started to loop at checkout.

    WPEC 3.8.8.5
    Gold Cart 2.9.7

I have No shipping and NO payment gateways in use, it is for an internal uniform ordering portal. I dont understand how this occurs after months of use with no changes / modifications to the site ( other then updates)
I have tried turning off plugins, one at a time, and have an identical website running the same ver of the plugin, that is not having this problem. I cant seem to find what might have changed between the two. Any ideas, when there are no gateways or shipping modules in use?

Im reposting this question on all the many “checkout loop” forum threads, in the hope that someone found a good answer to this issue!

I have the same checkout loop issue. It suddently appeared after being fine in the beginning.
The only way to work around it for me seemed to be installing an older version of wp e-commerce (3.8.8.3.). Sad but true.. So I did and I can sell products now. I hope someone comes up with a real fix.
