[Plugin: Social] Why Sign-in with Facebook/Twitter button takes me to the 404 or Homepage?

Looks like Social has been disabled for the site?

Are there any other plugins that are also activated? We haven’t been able to replicate this same behavior on this end of things. Give us a shout back and we’ll be happy to dig further!

same issue – I almost get around it by clicking on the “my profile” and adding it to the indiviual wp user’s Social accounts.

But I cannot ad global FB or Twitter accounts that all users can post to under Social’s main settings screen

When trying to add a facebook profile in my Settings > Social I get an “Error 404 – Page not found!” coming from my own site. It appears I can add a profile from my User Settings page though, but would like it to work as one profile for ALL USERS.

If you’re on HostGator, you may want to ask them about this. They apparently have some odd settings that can create interesting situations.

Alex, can you provide any more info other than ask HostGator? Are you suggesting that they have dealt with this and have a fix, or do you know?

Same problem here.

For those experiencing this issue with HostGator, I was able to get resolution within a few minutes using their online chat support. Once the support rep identified the rule, he recommended that I simply ask them to whitelist mod_sec rule 340162 for the specific domain that you’re working on.
