Homepage with posts in root directory, wordpress in blog folder.

Hiya, this is a problem similiar to this one:

But I want to make a homepage in root directory + blog in /blog/ folder.
https://example.com/ <– Portfolio page (New images = new posts posted in X category)
https://example.com/wordpress/ <– Blog (everything else)

I’d like to use new wordpress posts as new porfolio-images. Anyone have an idea of how to accomplish this?

Would be very greatful if someone could help me ??
