Drop Down navigation advice

I am having trouble with drop down menus. I’m new to wordpress, and have built my own template you can see here. https://www.healingreiki.org/newsite

As you can see when you hover over the “about” the drop down appears, my problem is that the “about” is also a link which i dont want.

Basically is there a way i can change this, or create something similar without a plugin.
