Can create new post, but cannot UPDATE posts

  • My wordpress installation doesn’t allow me to update new posts. When I update them, it will create a new revision, but none of the changes will be retained.

    I have no problem creating new posts. I can update posts through iPad. For a short time, I was able to update posts by turning off the WYSIWYG, but that stopped working.

    I deactivated all the plugins. I deleted all the core files (leaving wp-content). I added fresh core files.

    None of these things remedied the situation.

    Anyone else encounter and solve this issue?
