    Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to require an approval process for updating published pages?

Basically, I am looking for a way to allow an author or contributor to be able to edit an already published post/page, but that these changes would require approval from an Editor or Admin before the edits can be published. We want to be able to make sure that authors/contributors are able to make changes to the site, but that all of these changes are looked at and approved by an editor/admin before going live.

I have tried a few different plug-ins (Role Scoper, Edit Flow, User Role Editor) but none of them have this exact feature as far as I could tell. User Role Editor came close, but would either not allow access to edit pages at all, or would just allow the edits to be published without any sort of approval.

This is a function that is available in a number of other CMSs, so I would be surprised if there isn’t someway to get this accomplished in WP.

    Thanks.

So if anyone else was looking for the same thing, adding the Revisionary plug-in to the mix with User Role Editor appears to accomplish this task.

Have only done minimal testing so far, but it appears to get the job done.

I’m settling on this solution as well but I would like something more elegant. Please post back if you find a different way of approving changes to published pages.
