What did I did wrong with the theme installation? (wasn't showing up)

  • I had tried to upload the complete theme folder to cPanel through bluehost. Placed it through this directory: wp-content/themes. Going back to dashboard>appearance>theme for several rounds, still couldn’t find my theme installed or appeared??

    I had uploaded the zip file and then extracted it on the cPanel, so it now becomes a folder.

    You could try uploading the zip file thru the WordPress Appearance > Themes > Add Themes section. If you purchased the theme make sure you are only uploading the zip that contains the WordPress files, not the .psd’s and readme’s, and docs.

    There are no Add Themes section, and that’s what I worry about, and I had already installed www.ads-software.com’s dashboard (I think), but couldn’t find a login page still and maybe if I could, I should be able to see what you had mentioned.

    Placed my theme here: public_html/wp-content/themes/
