Logged In But Unable To Access Dashboard Or Edit Pages

    I’ve had a rather frustrating thing happen to one of my WP sites (spirituality2012.com) where I’m unable to access the Dashboard, wp-admin or indeed any part of the back-end of the site.

    I’ve added a Login Box to the footer, so I’m able to login, but I’m redirected to the page I was already on. Clicking the ‘edit’ link on a page results in a 404, as does trying to navigate to wp-admin.

    However, wp-login.php does seem to be ok though it takes me back to the home page after loggin in.

    Can’t get my head around this, and I’ve had a look in the forums but can’t find an answer, so any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  • You may want to ask for support from the login plugin you are using.

    Try to disable that and see what happens.

    Hi, thanks for taking to time to respond. I sent the guy who originally installed WP a message, and he came back with this:

    “It wasn’t due to the plugins but something to do with the way the server was configured a php module called suhosin needed to be disabled.”

    All is now ok, thought I’d drop this message in just in case someone else has a similar problem.

    …and relax.
