Changing the layout of the sidebar

  • Hi all,
    I’m new to wordpress and codex – I’m trying to move the sidebar from the bottom to the right hand side, and also insert another sidebar to the left. Looks like the sidebar at the bottom has 3 sections to it (as I’ve installed some widgets).

    I’m trying to figure out how to do this in the editor but I can’t even find where the location of the coding that directs this layout.

  • Hi,

    That particular theme was designed as a single column layout. Adding sidebars to the left and right not something you can do from within the editor, and would require some major customization work.

    You are probably better off looking for another theme with the 3 column structure you’re looking for.
