White Screen of Death on on DreamHost, static frontpage only

    Hello,

    I’m having a problem with a very stubborn White Screen of Death. I moved the site from a staging server on Bluehost, where it was working fine, to a server on DreamHost; now the static front page comes up blank, while the rest of the pages are functioning.

    I’ve already taken the following steps, to no avail:

    – shut off all plugins and themes
    – re-uploaded files
    – checked for spaces in wp-config and other files
    – re-uploaded the DB

    The URL is https://www.hugetheater.com

    I am running 3.3.1 with a customized Roots theme.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Hi esmi, thanks for the quick reply. I have just tried all of your suggestions, and I still get the blank homepage. Ugh.

    Have you checked your server’s error logs

    Scratch that–it does actually work now, I just didn’t clear the cache right away! Thanks esmi!
