[Plugin: Contact Form 7] CF7 forms don't follow a DB export

Hey, everyone! A big part of my job is developing WordPress sites, most of which use CF7, on a local dev server and then transferring them to a live server once they’re finished. To do this, I will often export the WordPress database (the whole thing) and just import it to a new database in the new location.
I’ve noticed that along the way, CF7 information gets lost. Not all of it, and not all the time, but most of it most of the time. Usually it’s the mail fields that disappears. The form itself is typically intact. I have to go back and cut and paste in the content from the old dev site to the new live site to make it function.
Why does this happen? What can I do to stop it?
