[Plugin: Duplicator] 500(Internal Server) Error whenever I run install.php

    Alright,
    I’m duplicating a clients site that is on my localhost server and trying to install it on their GoDaddy server. I’ve done everything correctly as far as I can tell (I’ve done this same process about 3 or 4 times now, I was expecting this to be a breeze), but now when I go to the install.php address, fill out the database details, verify that my connection is succesful, and then click install… the page waits a while and seems like it’s working, then I get 500(Internal Server) Error that comes up.

    I’ve tried re-packaging the site, re-creating the database, clicking on different settings, making sure my permissions are correct… but nothing. It keeps happening.

    I’m really in a bind here because my deadline to have this site up and running is on Friday the 20th… and now I’ve run into a show-stopper.

    Has anyone run into this same problem?? And if so, PLEASE help!!!
    I would give the URL to the site, but that’s the problem, I can’t get it to transfer!

    Hi Lifeinthegrid,

    After pulling my hair out and nearly going bald I’ve come to the conclusion that it isn’t the Duplicator plugin that was causing the problem. I tried another plugin, Back up and Move, and got the same result.
    This leads me to believe that the problem isn’t the plugins, but either something is setup wrong in the database, or (after some research)the .htaccess file might be causing some michief as well.

    Either way, I rolled up my sleeves and attempted a manual transfer…
    and low and behold! I got it to work!! Literally right before I got the email from you. lol.

    So I appreciate your help nonetheless, and I still LOVE your Duplicator plugin. Thanks again my man, and take care. :))
