Upload image problem Version 3.3.1

Have read this but the problem is the images work on the other two blogs so is definately not an image problem as discussed in that post.

Point 8 is exactly my problme but solution soffered are not applicable as running version 3.3.1 and images work on other blogs

Have you uploaded one of these problem images to one of your other sites?

yes without any issues, i have also done it in reverse by uploading one of images from other site to this one with same problem

Have you checked your uploads path in Settings -> Media? Have you checked via FTP to see if the image files are being uploaded?

have checked paths now and all ok, tried full url in settings, have checked via ftp and not uploading, have checked permissions and all ok

So the images are not being uploaded?

I am having this exact same problem – it appears to upload, does the crucnching but the directory contains nothing

no which has now confused me further i can manually place file in folder using ftp but cannot get it uploaded through wp

Actually just been suggested to me that it may be PHP Safe Mode being turned on. Investigating now, will advise.
