Retrieving the First Image in a post

Do you mean Featured Image in a post?

Nope–I mean the image that comes first in the text.

I’ll take a look at it. I was hoping more for a php code, rather than a plugin. There must be some place where the image information is stored in the database… something that I can retrieve and insert into the code.

It’s a simple plugin that grabs the image meta. Take the plugin code and integrate it into functions.php; that’s what I did.

Have a read of this topic, it gets all the images, one of the replies gets the first, my solution gets all.
