• Fresh install of WP3.3.2 and all worked fine Twenty Ten 1.3 theme so I proceeded to install BuddyPress1.5.5 then finished that installation selecting the BP theme recommended. At that point I get a blank screen on both the admin and website sides. Went to my file manager and deleted the BP plug-in and all worked fine.

Ideas on what is happening here? Want to use BuddyPress to create a social network.

    Thanks,

    Patsy

I just tried for the 3rd time and now after installing BP1.5.5 it blanks out before getting to the 5 step installation to select a theme. As soon as I activate BP everything go to a while blank screen.

Guess I need to step away from the computer as I have been at this for a few hours now.

    Suggestions?

have you tried after installing Buddypress to stay on default twenty eleven theme see if is BP theme or buddypress

Yes, my last fresh install of everything did that — it’s how BP is relating to my website. I have no other plug-ins installed so it is mystery to me.

I had the same issue today and everywhere I read it said to just delete the plugin. I knew there wasn’t anything wrong with the plugin because its active on other web sites. I was getting the blank screen after installing several different plugins and deleting them to restore my admin access. So I decided to call my hosting company and they adding this file to give me more memory. So this issue of having a blank screen after installing a plugin is due to a memory problem. Call your hosting company and have them increase the memory. Problem solved! ??
