  • There are a couple of possible reasons:

    – the plugin’s developer ask for it to be removed
    – the plugin was removed by the repository admin because of an issue.

If it’s the latter, the plugin author will have been contacted with the details and could be working on resolving them. So I can only suggest you check back every now & then.

Maybe the plugin developer believes he has a fantastic plugin which he believes he can sell, leaving thousands of WordPress users shafted.

    Thanks

Last Ten – and maybe not, give the dev a break eh?

There was a problem with it, hopefully they’ll fix it.

Mark – OK if there was a problem with the plugin I apolagise, maybe rather than pulling it they could at least tell their customers whats going on instead of just deleting it!!

I agree I hope they fix it :-0

Don’t forget that what powers many plugins can sometimes be a rare “Thanks”. Plugin devs don’t get paid for creating the code, bug fixing, supporting, answering emails, being sent wishlists of things people want adding. It is their time given freely and we owe them for that.

There are some plugin authors who write and ask that their plugin be withdrawn because they simply do not have the time any more. We can’t blame them for that – they don’t owe us anything.

Thanks Mark, you don’t need to preach to me, I agree ??

What I do disagree with is that a total withdrawal of a plugin with no explanation to us mere mortals pees me off.

Don’t take it personally and I will not be contributing in this thread no more, I have made my point – End of.

This just came back – might be worth a look?

Not as good as Share and Follow!

Can anyone send me the file which is not now available for Share and Follow?

    Peter

I’m also curious where it went?

I have found my share and follow file from a previous installation, all working now ??

Still gone, and no updates on the developer’s site in months. It isn’t looking good, I think.

It’s a shame, because there doesn’t seem to be anything else that does the same job.

Send me ur email address and I will send you my file, the only trouble is that it will not be supported!

    @last-ten ,

I would be interested in the plugin as well…

It could be used as the restart of a reworked plugin..
