[Plugin: WordBB] This bridge is desperately needed!

  • As i just noticed how bbPress is an unbelievably simplistic, feature-less, and frankly pathetic excuse for a bulletin board software with even more pathetic plugins available for it, i don’t understand why this extension no longer is being updated!

    It’s frankly hard to believe that in this day and age WordPress doesn’t have any other free integrable BBS than bbPress. MyBB is a very good and well updated BBS that could take WordPress out of the current meager situation into one that is rather expected by all softwares used to build communities these days.

    I’d gladly pay for an extension that could integrate WP with MBB!

  • Did you ever find something that works? I agree that bbpress is very bad but I cannot find any other forum plugin or bridge plugin that isn’t also bad. It’s making me question my decision to start using wordpress!

    Nah. I was working on this for a gaming guild and i’ve gone over to Enjin instead. No CMS or forum software in the world comes anywhere near an Enjin site. Totally worth the money.

    Oh no! Why such a kind of great plugin haven’t supported anymore?! It’s the most useful plugin in my site and forum. I’m using wordbb more than 1 year and today that I was searching for fixing some issue I found out that no one is supporting it ((

    Please Please Please some one start again to develop it or show me a alternative. I’m using not only the bridging authentication but the posting in forum feature and it is so useful.

    The problem that I faced today was about the author’s name. One of the site authors has created a post with her profile and she published in wordpress with her name as the author, but the created mirror post in forum has been created with my name. I tried to leave the default author box blank in wordbb setting page but it’s a mandatory field.
    How can I configure to post in forum with the real author who created wordpress post?
