• Hi,

I recently made my site a multisite with sub domains. I have one main site and six sub domains, and I want the blog posts from the sub domains show up on the main blog. Therefore I installed Sitewide tags which seems to be the solution to my problem, but I can’t get it working.

I have enabled Post to main blog in the Global tags section from the network admin dashboard. I have written a new post on one of the sub domains but nothing shows up on the main blog except for the main blog posts.

    Main site/blog: mamaqueerest.com
    Sub domain: musik.mamaqueerest.com

Also I have a plugin called Network Latest Posts, that should be getting the latest blog posts either using short codes or using a widget. None of these are working, the widget shows up but isn’t showing the blog posts from the other sites/blogs.

This makes me think this is a problem with the multisite, and not the plugins.

All of my sites/blogs shows up under All sites and under My sites, all of them are working standalone. Is there anyone who knows what could be causing the problem?

    Sincerely
    Ellen

  • Hello Ellen,

It seems there’s a problem with your multi-site installation, because you’ve tested two different plugins and none of them can retrieve the posts.

Are you completely sure you’ve a fully functional WordPress Network? (check this article: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network).

Could you also please check your database?, in this case Network Latest Posts looks for this structure $your_db_prefix_$number_tablename for example: wp_2_posts, if your database doesn’t use this structure maybe you don’t have a fully-functional WordPress Network.

Network Latest Posts doesn’t work for individual installations grouped inside a folder. Please let me know what you find out.

    Best regards.
